Forward Bend

tortoiseshell cat bending forward
Kelly demonstrates a tortie forward bend.

Kelly’s hatha yoga bath turns into a sun-warmed meditation session as she pauses in mid-belly-bath to enjoy a moment of nourishing sun in perfect stillness.

But when I practice yoga, she is all about instructing me, strolling around in upward and downward cat and talking to me. I don’t get a moment of peace.

Wonder where all the scratches came from on this cabinet top? Obviously a favorite place, just perfect for an old salvaged cabinet meant to take a beating.

  • I have a Rodney Yee Yoga Tape –about 20 minutes long…as soon as they hear the chime, Coupurr and Fatty get ready…By the time I’m on the floor one starts to kiss my nose, the other Coupurro will spoon :0 I never get through a session. with their interruptions, but I think it makes me feel even better:)

    • That’s one of the things I’ve always loved about yoga at home–I’m down on their level. My little feral girl Moses who could not jump or climb was so excited when I did yoga she laid in the middle of my mat and purred, and she was never that brave.
