I’m in the middle of several new designs and ideas right now, finding magnets the right size, experimenting with making cutting templates for polymer clay, working out the tote bags with different styles of handles, and a new painting, so I don’t have anything new to share this week, even though there will be a bunch of things soon.
I shared a photo of my shop setup on Facebook the other day that showed one little section of it with bright and soft pinks and oranges and blues and purples. The light from the window falls on it just right, like a highlight, and on these short and dark days it’s a welcome sight every time I walk into the room.
And then I thought how often I look at the orange kitty things in my display—yes, orange—and how welcome those oranges are in this cold weather. I thought I’d feature a collection of them from what’s available right now. Each is one of a kind, and when it’s gone that’s it until I make a new item, or something like it.
Orange isn’t a terribly popular color for many people. At one time I said it was my least favorite color and I avoided it. I’m not sure what changed my mind, probably a flower, and one day I realized I just loved orange. That’s probably one of the reasons it shows up in my artwork and handmade goods pretty often.
So here are links to the items you see above, so you can read about each of them.
Basil and Mariposa can’t figure it out.

Marketplace is a feature on The Creative Cat to share the latest coming out of my studio with my readers. Once a week on Thursday I feature something new in my “shop”.
