Marketplace: Add Garden Flags to Your Late Winter Garden

While your spring blooming plants are just getting started, add some color to your late winter garden with garden flags!
This winter has been very brown and rainy, but out of the detritus of last autumn comes the daffodils, right on time!
Spring is nearly two months away, and all this brown needs some color. I’ve left my sample garden flags out in my front yard in all seasons, some since autumn 2019 when I started experimenting, and I’ve added two or three samples from each generation of garden flags I’ve made since July 2020 when I first offered them. The oldest have faded a bit and a few are fraying but that’s not too bad for up to three years outdoors in all weather.
So don’t worry about putting them out too early, or leaving them out all year. I knew they were good for a year or two in full sun during temperate months, and it’s only been the test of time to find they are durable enough that I can pretty much guarantee them for two years in all weather except for areas that may have really extreme weather.
