So much going on with kitties and our basement door in the past few days, guess that’s always been a thing on hot June days!

Generations of cats have sat looking out this basement door. It’s right on ground level, though there is a small slab of concrete and the brick patio I built, but after that is grass and garden. On a hot day there is always a breeze here and the concrete stays cool. Understandably, it’s a favorite spot. And needless to say, though I’ll say it anyway, I love to watch them here.

The door is painted Caribbean Blue to ward off evil spirits. It’s faded over the years. Time to find that paint again. Can’t have evil spirits endangering my kitties.

You might guess, but it’s famous art model, Mewsette.
