Daily Sketch: Smokie in the Basket

Smokie is cute no matter what he does, and especially when his furs and feathers are draped over the edges of a basket. Kind of the epilogue of today’s basket adventure with Mr. Sunshine.

What other sketches did I post on or around this date?

Morning Kitchen, 2013

I started out with Mewsette and just kept going. All that beautiful cool light with the warm-toned Mewsette bathing in the center, it just didn’t look finished until I added the surrounding scene. This is oil pastel, but I think I moved over to my soft pastel style for parts of this. Well, that’s okay, and probably because I have been working on a few other pastel works. It’s really the color that counts.
That and the cat hairs embedded into it.

Oh, how cats love to curl up tightly or drape themselves and make what might look uncomfortable to us seem just perfect… Wanted to thank you for stopping by Kely’s new blog…heck, I have trouble keeping up with my other 2 blogs, but her daily photos and being with her every day at work is such an inspiration…your comment was perfect!
Thanks for visiting, Teri and Kely! I don’t get the chance to visit other blogs as often as I’d like so I’m really glad I saw the link to Kely’s blog. I can tell she loves her work! As for Smokie, he’s a kitten and he fits anywhere.
