Daily Photo: We Were Here First

I was forced to work standing up for a while today as Bean and Mewsette, who’d been waiting for me to report to my studio, occupied my chair when I did not show up. Even when I wheeled the chair around to see if I could get a corner of it, all the did was resettle and bathe each other.

Mewsette is rarely grumpy, but she was pretty clear in how she felt about me expecting to sit. “We were here first,” she said.

Jelly Bean gives Mewsette a little brotherly hug as they settle closer.

But Bean can’t just let things be. He had to start a wrestling match with Mewsette and nearly dump himself off the edge of the chair.

After that fine performance I was finally permitted to sit down.

This happens to me all the time! 🙂 My cats have taught me how to be patient and flexible. I can either wait for my turn or I could find another place to work. 🙂
