Daily Photo Reprise: You’re Ugly and Your Mother Dresses You Funny, 2010
The joke being that they have the same mother and look nearly alike.
Mewsette actually started it, though here it looks as if Giuseppe is the aggressor. He has the bigger ego, though, and seems to be easily set off by signals that I can’t see. I presume Mewsette insulted him.
I also liked the shadows on the floor; it looks more like he’s blessing her from that perspective. There are, after all, two sides to every issue.
It took me nearly an hour to scoop the basement litterboxes this morning because they were all being so photogenic.

Pingback: The Creative Cat - Daily Photo: Bird on the Rocker
I love, love, love EVERYTHING about this photograph!!! I’ve always loved the use of shadows in photography. It really does tell two different stories in one. Thank you. 🙂
Paulette, me too, and while this one was a difficult shot because of the shadows and contrast I now have a newer version of software to modify the raw files for my photos. Originally, they were just two silhouettes but I had the opportunity to revisit this one and open up the delicate highlights in their torsoes and in the shadows below them without losing the shadow on the floor or washing out the colors. It’s like a whole new world with this!
I love the shadows. Shadow boxing?! Theadora (Great shot!)
Thedora, definitely! I love how the image and the shadows tell two different stories too.
