Daily Photo: Purrs for Simba
“Send big guy Simba some purrs for a urinary issue today! We are at MedVet and it looks like it’s a UTI, not a blockage. He’ll be staying the day here, and I get to go home. So if you were planning to come to my open house, I’ll be home shortly. At least he got to enjoy a great #boxpawty last night!”
So I took a little break from my open house on Saturday to get Simba to an emergency veterinarian. I always keep watch for urinary issues, and not until last night did I see anything from him, along with the related symptoms of irritability, lack of appetite, and a general change in personality.
He’s home now and feeling okay with some pretty good drugs. But it’s something I’ll have to take care of with him. He does have a fountain, which he adores, and a still water bowl of water, but he’s a committed dry food cat. I decided to leave that be until after this weekend, but I guess I’ll that started sooner, like, now. He is four years old, prime time for developing FLUTD, or feline lower urinary tract disease.
My friend, the human of Callie, offered to help me, and belive me I took her up on that. Not only have I invested most of what I have into my open house, but this income paiys for January and February, and pays for entry into shows next year. Thank goodness she paid for the visit! But I missed out seeing a few hours of people who may or may bot be back, so if you see something you like in any of my posts, any purchases now are especially welcome!
