Daily Photo: Mimi Greets Our Guest

black cat with person
Mimi greets our guest today.

Fearless Mimi waits by the door as our guest arrives, then intently looks at her as she enters. Who could miss this pointed expression? Apparently plenty of people could because Mimi is just so tiny she looks like a toy cat, and her much larger children get all the attention. However, her children fast asleep, Mimi and I were having one-on-one time at the computer. And apparently she approved of Steffi, who earned a little nose tap (I missed the full nose tap). Our guest is also a very active cat rescuer so Mimi may have felt a sort of kinship with her and wanted to thank her for taking all those mama cats off the streets. But though Mimi can look grumpy, she generally approves of everyone, whether or not they notice her.
