Big and Little Sisters: From A Year Ago

I knew this one was coming, and have to admit, when I first started posting images from last year and Cookie grew gravely ill around Christmas, I was hoping at the time we would make it to this date so I could post this photo. Cookie really turned around though she’s still a little wobbly and she’s not climbing into pots and pans at the moment, but she’s still with me, and Mewsette still looks over her. Concerning the ages, below, remember this was last year!

Cookie, 18, Mewsette, 3, a big sister who is little, and a little sister who is big.

Mousse keeps careful watch over Cookie, though Cookie may not know, sleeping deeply like the little old lady she is. Just as the younger cats took care of Peaches, so they keep after Cookie, though Mewsette is the most persistent.

Like Peaches before her, Cookie feels it’s just her due as the grande dame of the household.

And like Cookie before them all, who was vigilant with her senior brothers and sisters.
