Two Torties on Desk

two tortoiseshell cats on the desk
Cookie and Kelly take over my desk.

There is nothing like two sleeping senior torties on your desk to make you stop working and just enjoy your cats. How many years have they been getting in my way?

And Cookie and Kelly are in nearly the same position—was this planned to distract me? Guess I’ll have to move on to something else because they are even sleeping on the papers I need to use.

“Maybe” they are even trying to let you know to take a moment or two to just sit back and relax a bit and be good to yourself with a cup of tea or hot chocolate. The mind needs to recoupe too, you know! Blessings to all!

    • Linda, the real lesson for me in all this is also to put my camera down and just enjoy them! But of course I’d never forgive myself if I didn’t capture the moment before I simply enjoyed it.

  • Torties have a way of making you prioritise your work!

    • And a way of making their priorities everyone’s priorities!

The sleep of angels — wonder what the
    Tortie girls are dreaming?

    • I’m sure they were dreaming of lunch, and chasing mousies in the basement, and maybe even some of the cats they used to know.
