Of the Rain and Giuseppe

I watch the rain fall and run in rivulets down the window, and I wonder…

…does my cherished love Mlle. Daisy Emerald Marguerite, the most lovely and dignified feline lady in all of the hamlet of Verona and the Frontenac in the cold north land…

…as we share the same winter stars when her emerald eyes look above at night…

…and the same summer winds when she sits in her red brocade bed on the window seat and gazes upon the lake…

…watch the same mist rise from the frozen ground…

…and feel the same tristesse that I feel?
. . . . . . .
I first published this in March 2013, but it’s just how we all feel on this rainy winter morning, especially their human mama who photographed a benefit performance and after party last night and is getting a little old to be on her feet for 12 hours. Last March we were all having a contemplative day except Mr. Sunshine who was hitting the ‘nip, this time we are all feeling contemplative except Mr. Sunshine who wants to wrestle with something substantial, like a roll of paper towels, since his siblings aren’t interested.
Plus, Giuseppe is preparing for Mlle. Daisy Emerald Marguerite’s birthday, which is New Year’s Day, just a few days away!

The big guy is a little nervous about it all, Tabbies–and this is the third birthday they’ve celebrated together!
Bernadette..I love the beauty you share with us through your art and your words..You are a sweet, kind, caring lady..And poor Giuseppe..he is such a romantic..sigh..
Nancy, I hope I’m that person! Giuseppe is quite the romantic, and he’s also a little high-strung–that’s his nature as an opera star, but he just wants the world to be a quiet and beautiful place.
Yes..I know how he feels..That is how I would like the world to be also..if only there were more of us..
And no garbage truck monsters or motorcyclists who like to ride really fast up our hill.
