October Desktop Calendar: Mewsette With Pumpkins

"Mewsette With Pumpkins" desktop calendar.

So, okay, it’s nearly halfway through October and we finally have a desktop calendar for this month.

We actually had this earlier, but I honestly prefer to avoid the black cat and Halloween connection. I looked at other artwork and photos, but I kept coming back to this, simply because I like it, I like Mewsette, I like pumpkins, and she really enjoyed her photo shoot two years ago. Any way to celebrate a black cat is a good thing. Here is your desktop calendar for the month! Read more about “Mewsette With Pumpkins”.

I also prefer to use artwork for these, just for another place to display my artwork, but again, this photo won out over that.

And reading statistics and knowing that more than half of my readers view this site on a mobile device, I also did a little more research and found the best dimensions for desktop images for mobile devices.

  1. Click on one of the links below that matches the dimensions of your monitor to open the image in a new page.
  2. Right-click on that image and on a desktop computer choose “save as desktop wallpaper” or “save as background” or whichever option your operating system gives you to be able to do this. I’m not entirely sure how this is done on a mobile device, but I’ll bet it’s not too different.

Desktop and laptop computers

2560×1440 (16:9 for large monitors)
1920×1200 (16:10 and HD monitors)
1920×1080 (16:9 monitors)
1280×1024 (4:3 monitors)

Mobile Devices

240×320 (smartphones, texting phones)
480×320 (Blackberry, HTC)
640×960 (iPhones)
600×1024 (Nook Color, Blackberry Playbook)
768×1024 (iPad)
720×1280 (Android phones)
800×1280 (Samsung Galaxy, etc.)

(The last two mobile sizes do not have a calendar.)

This month’s new products are taking a little longer than I had anticipated, and I usually offer my desktop calendar with my monthly new artwork. I’ll have as much of the new work as is ready this weekend. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been working on!

Have I told you lately how much I love your monthly desktop calendars? I’m a little late downloading this month, but I can still spend a few days with Mewsette!

Vicki, that makes me so happy! I was a little late with posting as well. I’m debating between two for November, but I’ll have it ready for November 1.

Wonderful photo and calendar! (Black cats are wonderful, wondrous creatures. Very much agreed with Layla up above that they oughtn’t be adopted in October.)

Michelle, thanks–Mewsette chose it herself so it has to be good!

Yes, to celebrating black cats and pumpkins but no to adopting black cats in October.
