Marketplace: Summertime is Tortie Girls Time
I always feature my tortie girls prints in summer because their bright colors are summery! Then, just as quickly, they are autumnal!
“The Tortie Girls” are hand printed, hand tinted linoleum block prints of my two tortoiseshell cats, Cookie and Kelly, one very round and one very slender, “The Goddess” and “The Roundest Eyes”. Each image is 8″ x 12″, with mat and frame outside dimension is 16″ x 20″.
Unlike many of the other prints I sell, I print these by hand from a hand-cut linoleum block, then each print is hand-painted in watercolor, and with the slight variations in the printing process and the individualized coloration each print is just as unique as torties themselves. I frame them too.
As a follower of The Creative Cat—who may also remember Cookie and Kelly—you can get $25.00 off a framed set of prints through the month of August. The price for a framed set is normally $150.00. Use the coupon code TORTIEGIRLS25 for your discount.
Visit Celebrate Tortie Girls With a Set of Hand-tinted Linoleum Block Prints to read more, see samples and buy your prints.
Upcoming Events
Since I’m not hosting a Summer Open House I thought I’d use one of the weekly farmers markets for my Christmas in July sale. I was otherwise occupied through most of July, so I didn’t plan that, nor even find the time to make the new things I’d planned to sell. I’ll plan on doing that as an online event in October, so look for some new garden flags and ornaments, holiday-themed votive lamps, as well as sales on dozens of holiday cards. I’ll also have a discount on general merchandise. Since at the moment I’m not planning to do this in conjunction with another in-person event, I’ll be able to focus more!
Here’s the schedule at the moment, and I’ll be adding to it as a few other things are finalized. The farmers markets are Sundays, and I may also have a Saturday event here and there.
