Gift Certificates for Merchandise, Custom Art or Custom Pet Memorial Gifts

Gift Certificates

My Holiday Open House is over, but you can still purchase gift certificates to give as gifts! Don’t be hesitant—it looks as if I need to take Simba back to the veterinarian for more treatment, and any purchase helps me cover those costs. And even if I don’t, there’s a special diet and there will be follow-ups as well. Although, he’s feeling well enough to model!

Not sure what to purchase, or you’d like to let the recipient make their own choices? You can purchase gift certificates for merchandise, Custom Art or Custom Pet Memorial Gifts for delivery electronically, or by mail if you don’t mind getting them after Christmas.

I offer three certificates, one for general merchandise, one for commissioned art, and one for custom pet memorial gifts so you can be more specific what you want to give to your recipient. Each item has a different pricing structure as well, and this helps clarify.

You can also choose whether you want any certificate mailed to you or to the recipient, and whether the certificate is mailed or emailed.

General Merchandise Gift Certificate

This certificate can be used for anything on the site, including custom commissioned artwork and custom pet memorial gifts.

Each is numbered with its own code so you’ll enter that in the shopping cart when you place your order.

I offer a range of amounts in the drop-down. When I receive your order I will make up the certificate and either email or regular mail it to you.

Commissioned Artwork Gift Certificate

Sample Commissioned Portrait Certificate

I offer gift certificates for portraits or other commissioned artwork in any denomination beginning at $50.00, which is the basic cost of an 8″ x 10″ black and white portrait or sketch. You can add to the certificate in increments for the total you want to give. The recipient is responsible for any amount the portrait costs over the amount you’ve paid.

I prefer to see the work required in order to give a good estimate, but you can contact me and describe a project and I can give you an idea of what the cost would be. You can also review some samples with their costs on my Commissioned Animal Portraits page.

The certificate itself is 8.5″ x 11″ and features a collage of portrait images with the recipient’s and giver’s names, printed on parchment cover stock. The whole thing is packaged in a pocket folder and includes a brochure, a letter from me to the recipient and several business cards. The certificate package can be easily mailed or wrapped as a gift and shipped directly to your recipient.

I can also make it downloadable if you’re in a hurry.

Certificates are good for up to one year after issue, but I’ll usually honor them whenever they come along. It just makes my accounting easier if it’s within the same year.

Certificate Prices

I prefer to look over the work and price the portrait according to how much work will go into it, as described above, but you can either set a budget or get started by purchasing a certificate for yourself or as a gift.

How to Order

  • “Certificate A” is for a minimum-size 8 x 10 black and white or monochromatic portrait with one subject.
  • “Certificate B” is for a minimum-size 8 x 10 color portrait with one subject.
  • Choose “A” or “B” depending on whether your portrait is black and white or color.
  • If your portrait will be larger or have more subjects, add $50 or $100 or more to your certificate value with the drop-down below.

CERTIFICATE A $50.00

  • Size: 8 x 10
  • Subjects: One
  • Color: black and white media such as charcoal, pencil, ink, or monochromatic media such as one color of pastel, watercolor, colored pencil, etc.
  • Background or objects: none but shading or colored paper

CERTIFICATE B $100.00

  • Size: 8 x 10
  • Subjects: One
  • Color: full color media such as pastel, watercolor, colored pencil, etc.
  • Background or objects: none but a color or colored paper

Add to your certificate purchase

You can use the second drop down to add $50.00 or $100.00. For amounts over this I’m working out the easiest way to give options so it’s not too confusing.

Many people order a custom votive or garden flag for family or friends and have the gift shipped directly to them. But I’ve learned through the years with custom pet portraits, you can’t always find the right photo for the gift, and sometimes you know the recipient would prefer to choose the photo themselves. Custom pet memorial gifts are $25.00, and that makes it easy to purchase a gift certificate.
