Featured Daily Sketch: Happy Mew Year! 2012

This about says it all! Giuseppe, Mewsette, Mr. Sunshine, Jelly Bean and Mimi—
and, of course, their human too—all wish you a healthy and prosperous 2013.
May all your dreams come true,
and may you find more to pursue!
I forgot to share this last week! But even a late good wish is better than none. This was from 2012 and is unlike any other cat sketches I’ve done though I created illustrations in this style. Believe it or not they were the only cats in the house. It was the brief time after we lost Cookie and Kelly that year that only five cats lived in this house, a rarity in my entire history with cats. I think that’s when we bonded as we did. Soon enough in 2013 came the hospice fosters, then the feral kittens, and we all took our positions to do our best for them. But I remember and treasure that time with “just us.”
Daily Sketches 2011 to 2015
I think I accomplished what I'd set out to do three years ago today, a challenge to me and entertainment and enjoyment for you: to create a quick sketch of my cats each day as a way to practice and experiment, and present the sketch on that day with no editing, no waiting, no excuses, just to do the sketch and share it.

Mewsette, Sunshine and Giuseppe enjoy a nap on my studio floor. I don’t actually have that many beds for my cats but toss whatever older fleece, crochet and knit things I have on the floor where it seems appropriate, in this case, it’s in front of the furnace vent. It’s also behind a door, and on cold days like today it’s about the warmest spot in the house.. Read more and purchase.
