Jelly Bean curled up in the doorway to my studio this evening, just a black hemisphere slumped against the door. Then he stretched out just a bit and his legs went everywhere. How can they sleep like that? Any human would be in traction, yet he was peacefully breathing deeply and slowly and stayed in this position long enough of me to get a good sketch of him.
Perhaps it’s a yoga position I’ve never learned.
I often debate with these ink sketches—do I add a wash of color? I was about to, in blue for Bean, but didn’t get to it during the rest of the day, then I have to wait for the paper to dry before I can scan it, and it’s late enough now. Maybe another time!
