Mimi does a sideways bend to wash her hip—yes, it was as confusing as it looked! I laid down the red shape first in watercolor, quickly dried it with my blow dryer, then came back and sketched Mimi, who was still involved in her bath.y
Some books and art I met today
I stopped at the Library and saw Moonlight the Halloween Cat by Cynthia Rylant and illustrated by Susan Sweet. I read it and came home to tell my six black kitties the tale–and imagine what The Four Housecats of the Apocalypse could do in a book!

And the Winn Feline Foundation also shared The Cat and The Moon by William Butler Yeats, a wonderful verse with a beautiful illustration, but I have no way to share that, but here is a link to the poem about Minnaloushe, and here is an excerpt:
Minnaloushe creeps through the grass
Alone, important and wise,
And lifts to the changing moon
His changing eyes.
