Daily Sketch Reprise: Hot Kitty on a Hot Day

We’ve all been pretty good sports about it, but Jelly Bean was positively glowing with misery late this afternoon, gazing out the front door to the birdbath, which was dry again already, and no birds at the feeder. Don’t worry little guy, this won’t last forever!

And I’ve had sweaty palms, difficult to hold pens, and not very good for my pastels and charcoal, which don’t like to get wet. Watercolor seemed like the perfect choice.

And it’s just as hot this year too!

  • Looks like a Jelly Bean Limoges box!

    • I may have to try him out in oil pastel, Meg, what do you think?

      • Go for it, Bernadette — and take the liberty of adding a little golden clasp to the Jelly Bean Limoges box this time!

        • I have just the little unfinished wooden box here, gold clasp and all. We’ll see!

    • Ann, thank you! I wasn’t sure about it at first, but on a second look I decided it described a miserably hot day quite well!
