Daily Sketch: Reflections

Mewsette has her bath before the round antique mirror at the top of the stairs, such a girl.

It was all I could do to get a quick outline of her in place before she came over to the corner of the wardrobe on which she sits so she could purr at me and get kisses. She was so lovely and graceful the scene brought to mind Victorian ink sketches of ladies in the boudoir, primping before a mirror. Would make a nice watercolor, though. I think this will be one that I explore further.

  • Thank you for so many beautiful sketches! A cat lover since my first adopted, I have had a great many. But they never cease to amaze me with their antics and love!

    • Ginny, thanks so much for visiting! Like you, I don’t think I’ll ever have so many cats that they cease to be beautiful and interesting to live with. And as for sketches and paintings and photographs, I would have to live two lives to be able to do all the art I’d like to that features them.
