Daily Sketch: Mimi Morning Birdwatching

Mimi quietly watches the birds fluttering around the feeder outside the kitchen window.
Our feeders are busy now from dawn to dusk with migrants and new residents of our yard for winter as birds come down from Canada, thinking it’s a little warmer here. In addition to the feeder I keep outside the big north window, I add feeders one by one as birds migrate through until later in the year when I have all of them up for the coldest part of winter. They are nearly always good for a little birdie show at this feeder right outside the kitchen window, and this year I think I’ll add a little water bowl just for fun, right outside the window.

Very very nice – I am just in awe of your work and your following through with one year of daily sketches!
Thanks, Jobi and Fisher–it was my promise to myself, one of the hardest types to keep.
I Love this one, Bernadette.
It’s every cat at every window watching the Birds on the Feeders Live TV :))
Annie, thanks! I was a little unhappy with Mimi’s shape of all things–I got distracted and she moved, but it’s one of those things I see every day and so familiar and comforting.
