Daily Sketch: Apple-colored Cuddle
Well, I have a lot of sketches of cuddles, I have to come up with some new names and apples are red and green, most of the time. In this case, it’s Jelly Bean and Giuseppe, who cuddle after they wrestle, especially on a dark and rainy day when I have all the lights on at my desk.
But I’m decidedly disappointed in the new set of watercolor pencils. They are just not as deep and brilliant as the partial set I first experimented with in Colorful Cuddling Kitties and Colorful Kelly. Now that’s color!
I’m sure I’ll be able to use a more pastel set of watercolor pencils at some point, but I may need to move on.
Nevertheless, the boys are sweet, no matter what colors I use.

When I saw this lovely illustration I thought these kitties look just like apples. Then I scrolled down and saw your words “Apple-colored” cuddle! Very sweet.
Chris, that’s just what thought of when I looked at the sketch, those wonderful apple colors, I had no idea it would work for someone else!
Hey Jelly Bean, Hey Giuseppe, Boy is your human talented. My Mom is The Kitchen Counselor and as soon as she read the title, she was hooked!
Despite your dissastisfaction with the pencils, the sketch is superb. Good definition and shapes and I always love the innovative colours!
Carolyn, despite my disappointment with the new set of watercolor pencils, I was also very pleased with the underlying sketch. All the watercolor pencils in the world don’t make up for a bad sketch.
