Daily Photo: Mewsette and Her Shadow, 2017

The bright sun on the basement floor in the morning makes such clear shadows you can even see Mewsette’s whiskers. The trick was just to catch her in her one moment of not-rolling-around.

I usually change the flowers in the vase each weekend and at some point during the week I see a nice photo. Here are two from recent weeks.

From June 18 when the daylilies began blooming, with some sprays of pink spirea.

From June 26 with Queen Anne’s Lace and St. John’s Wort found along the railroad tracks.
