Daily Photo: Still Celebrating Black Cats

I know the photo is blurry, it’s difficult to get enough distance in my kitchen to get a good photo, but they’re so darned cute!!! It also kind of reminds me of the old photos I often see from before we had digital cameras—a little blurry, a little oversaturated, a little skewed.
Not from today, but recently enough. It’s the Fantastic Four and then Mimi: Bean, Sunshine, Mewsette, Giuseppe and Mimi, all thinking they are going to get something while I am at the sink. Well, I did wave some treats, that might have gotten their attention.
Wouldn’t you like a set of black cats like this? Visit your local shelter or rescue. They always have extra black cats. This particular family is only available to be admired, not to be adopted.
Happy Black Cat Appreciation Day! Read my post from earlier today to find out more.
And because the photo above was looking particularly vintage, I thought I’d give it another vintage treatment, black and white with a halftone pattern.

I love black cats, but you know if it wasn’t for the white bits of Austin I just wouldn’t see him!! I would be afraid of stepping on him in the dark!! That is a terrific photo of the gang!
Carolyn, I installed rope lighting along the edge of my stairs to the second floor because someone likes to be the terrible stepmonster and I couldn’t see a thing. I have little night lights everywhere else but the steps were another story!
So beautiful – nothin’ better than 5 black kitties in a row!
Chris, even a little blurry, they are pretty impressive.
That is adorable!
Thanks, RumpyDog! Glad I had my camera!
Such cute hopeful body language!
I’m a first time visitor and am enjoying your blog.
Maggie, welcome! It’s wonderful when they all work together like that. Who could resist?
Shoot I have tried to leave a message three times, please delete any previous uncompleted attempts that you may have received. I wanted to tell you that I love your five black kitties!!! We have one black boy in our household of rescue kitties and he a gentle giant!!! So loving and curious he melts my heart everyday 🙂
Thank you so much for persisting! I have all first-time commenters on moderation, but I think I’ll change that. I’ll have to visit your blog and see your black kitty! And thanks for visiting. They are a joy every moment.
Looks like you appreciate black cats EVERY day! Happy Black Cat Appreciation Day!
I have no choice! Thanks for visiting!
That picture would make a great ad for black cats 😉
For some reason, I tried but couldn’t leave a message on the post with the video of Kelly. She was beautiful! A little ballerina assistant!
Well I hope this one goes through.

Texas, yes, I’ve got this comment. That’s actually what it reminded me of, one of those 1960s magazine ads.
I can’t imagine why you couldn’t comment on that post, but thank you for letting me know your thoughts, Definitely a little ballerina!.
