Daily Photo: So How Do You Think This Ended?

Mariposa. A bowl of cherries. A bowl of shiny, perfectly round objects with irresistible little stems sticking up at all angles. In front of a kitty who finds everything can be a toy. Who is waiting for one of those round things to move just a little bit before she reaches out with one of her big white mittens and whacks one off the top to get the game started.
I left them there long enough to get the photo, then I took them away to enjoy them. I played with Mariposa with a mousie instead. She has the greatest expressions.

Has someone sent something to Mimi? If so, she is sitting in the mail basket ready to receive it. Mimi’s latest (cuteness) innovation in making time on a leash exciting.

Really, Mimi never ceases to amaze me with how curious she is. She doesn’t like to be on her leash, and we are only sitting on the front porch for now, but she always finds something to explore and a spot to just be for a while. She makes the best of everything. We get along very well that way.

Daily Photo: Sienna Meditation, 2018

Sienna is meditating on “cool”. Because it’s not. But she certainly looks peaceful in all that warm light, truly living up to her colorful name. Hang on, Sienna, one more day of this then those nice breezes again through your window.
She may look like a polydactyl, and I sometimes check to see if I’m wrong. She has big mittens, but she really just has a prominent dew claw that’s set well back from the others. No matter, she is beautiful all over.

Your Housekeeping, 2017

Cats know how to make a point without a meow. Bella came up to my studio and sat down under one of my worklights to gaze intently at me until I noticed her, swathed in cobwebs from the basement. I can only presume, by the somewhat indignant expression on her face, that she is making a statement about the condition of my basement and my lack of attention thereof.
Dare I tell her that keeping the cobwebs cleaned up in the basement has not been the human’s job since we moved in here?

Hamlet’s Hideaway, 2016

It’s his hideaway from Ophelia, who is up on the wardrobe while he peeks through the curtain.

This station on Cat TV changed its backdrop. Hamlet and Ophelia are trying to hide so the birds can’t see them.

Kitties Comfort

While I’ve been taking care of other things, I’ve also been cheating a little…posting photos on Facebook and Instagram. I’d intended to share them each day as well but never quite got around to it. Now I have about a dozen, or more, so I’m going to post them in groups in an extra photo post so the daily photo posts don’t get too long…so many cat pictures, so little time. They bring me such joy, even in times of stress and sorrow, I just can’t stop sharing them.
