Daily Photo Reprise: Feline Inspection and Quality Control, 2012

In case you have any doubt of the quality of anything I produce in my studio, including these hand-printed cards, meet the feline inspection team. They were part of my post about the cards they are inspecting, but because they do such a good job of critiquing and inspecting my work and products, I thought they deserved their own post. I will just say that they don’t hesitate to be honest about their opinions.
As you can see by their expressions in the photo below, something is apparently dreadfully wrong…

…I determined later, their apparent disapproval had to do with the fact that the cats depicted were covered with odd lines and marks on their faces, not the perfect solid black of the trio. I reminded them of their buddy Dickie, a tabby cat who we fostered for a year, and all was once again in order.

We love, love, love black kitties and are so jealous that you have three. We also serve as quality control inspectors when mom makes catnip toys to raise funds for a local no-kill shelter. Mom doesn’t like it when we get cat spit on the new toys, but how else can we insure that the catnip is fresh and potent. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at http://www.thecatonmyhead.com, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
Janet, you’ll be even more jealous to learn I live with five! It’s Mimi and the Fantastic Four, what an incredible group of purrrrsonalities! I might get more done without their assistance and supervision, but it would not be done correctly.
