Daily Photo Reprise: Curl Up With a Good Book, 2010

two cats with cat library
Kelly and Mimi pass a summer afternoon in the library in 2010.

Curling up on one counts just as well. Kelly can absorb the contents while she sleeps. She and Mimi found a happy spot on a long hot summer afternoon, and no one said you had to open them up to read them. All the books are about cats anyway, and Kelly and Mimi already know all about cat things, of course.

I love the reverse symmetry of their tails. If I had been sketching then, I would have sketched this. I think I may still do that.

  • In high school, I called it learning by osmosis.

    • That’s what they are doing, Meg! Or perhaps they are actually imparting the knowledge TO the books…

      • Yes yes! I stand corrected! Physiologically speaking, that would only make sense.
I learn so much from you, Bernadette. Deep things. . . .

        • Meg, soon you’ll see a number of other posts “from the cat library”–actually I’m working up a number of products at least four of the several hundred photos I took of my cats in this cat library–and I used the word “osmosis” so much in those posts I didn’t want to use it again. But who reads me that closely?!
