Daily Photo: Looking Out the Door
Aren’t they sweet? It was the only angle I could photograph them that I didn’t get a lot of reflection, although that’s nice, see below. But this is what I saw as I swept the porch and looked down. Below, looking at me, looking away, with the springtime front yard reflected on the door.

It’s Chewy.com day and Mr. Sunshine and Mimi are guarding their cases of food from the strange humans who are making loud noises in the neighbor’s driveway with a backhoe.
Mimi is really going to miss her life-size cat tree. I wish I had the space in the house!

Catnip Tea?! 2013
You made tea out of perfectly good catnip?
And what’s worse:
YOU HAVE YOUR OWN PERSONAL STASH OF CATNIP?
I can’t believe you would betray us this way—a jar full of the best leaf in the house, and you keep it to yourself, and you make TEA?!
. . . . . . .
Yes, I do have a stash of dried catnip leaves that I use in herbal decoctions for myself. Homegrown.
I wasn’t going to hear the end of it until I shared some.

Feline Photography from Portraits of Animals!
Tortoishell cats can be camouflaged against many backgrounds with all their irregular speckles and dots. This photo of Cookie taken in the spring of 2010 truly shows her ability to blend into her background as her orange and tan blend with last year’s leaves and her green eyes blend with the spring’s new growth. I could not love her more. This photo is available framed or unframed, on canvas or on paper on Portraits of Animals. You can find this photo in my gallery of Feline Photos.
