Daily Photo: Look Deep Into My Eyes
“You will sit down on this rocker and stay here while I curl up for a long nap.”
Mr. Sunshine has those “let’s nap together” eyes. I am tempted to grab my crochet and a book and comply.

Nothing Here For You to See, 2013
Where is she, Giuseppe? Is she coming up the steps?
Yes, Mama, she’s on her way. Let everyone know.
“Hello, Mama Bernadette, how are you today? Nice little bit of sunshine, isn’t it? Nothing is happening up here, no need for you to come up.”
Some cats always look a little guilty, even when they’re not.
We had about 32 seconds of sunshine today, not even really good sunshine, but each cat found a spot for their brief thermonuclear treatment.

Can You Just Turn This Thing On? 2011
Mr. Sunshine thinks if he stares at it long enough he will turn it on by the power of his mind. But then he also thinks he’s SuperCat.
I know better. Mom is all-powerful and all-knowing and only she can make magic things happen.
I hope she reads this and I get some extra attention, pets, laptime and maybe food too.

And of course you know all about Compositions in Black and Green…

Compositions in Black and Green 2014 and other calendars from The Creative Cat
This photo was in the very first Compositions in Black and Green 2013, a calendar featuring the Fantastic Four and the Mama Mimi in the vintage mint green bathroom, just being their lovely selves, and was one of the inspirations for the series. I published Compositions in Black and Green 2014 with all new photos, and it even includes Emeraude and Lakota! And I’ve reduced their price to $5.00 each until I sell out the last few!
Incidentally, the photo of the four at the sink is also in the set of four greeting cards, Compositions in Black and Green—click here to find them in my Etsy shop.
Special Offer for Black Cat Adoptions
Now through 2014, I’ll send a copy of my Compositions in Black and Green 2014 calendar to anyone who rescues or adopts a black cat so that you can use it to keep track of all the wonderful things your house panther does. Or keep track of the house panther you’ve rescued so that you can keep track of veterinary records and send it along with the person who adopts the cat you’ve rescued.
Just email your rescue story to me, or a copy of your adoption contract—all personal information you don’t want to share eliminated of course—and a photo of your cat. I will keep all of your information completely private unless you want to share it with my readers.
If you’d like to to purchase a Compositions in Black and Green 2014 calendar as a gift or for yourself, visit my Etsy shop.
