Daily Photo: Kitchen Snoopervisors

two black cats
Giuseppe and Mewsette watch me at the sink.

I have no idea why they were watching me so intently at the sink, but I do know why Giuseppe looks so unhappy—he wants to cuddle and have a nap, but Mewsette won’t pay any attention to him.

I’m not sure what I was doing, but I know it didn’t have anything to do with food, I guess I was just the most interesting thing happening at the moment so they watched me. Pitiful. I think a nap would have been more exciting.

And that was the solution for Giuseppe, but not for the steadfast Mewsette, who kept her eyes on me for as long as I was at the sink. Apparently Giuseppe didn’t believe I needed two cats worth of supervision, only one would do. With Mewsette’s intent vigilance, I would not have dared step out of line.

Other daily photos on this day

I’m going to try this for a while as a feature. I began the daily photo reprises when I lost Cookie and wanted to keep introducing her to new readers, and the same after I lost Kelly, both in 2012. I intended to go along with the daily photo reprises for as long as I needed to, and now that I’ve passed the anniversary of Kelly’s transition to spirit, I feel I can let that go. I still love to share these older photos and every once in a while there’s one that I want to share individually, but most of the time you’ll get a nice selection of black cats and all my other cats.

Contemplating other things.

Giuseppe is intent on something that is running back and forth outside the basement door, likely a chipmunk by the little shadow I see passing by in the light under the door…click here to see the original post.

    • Tabbies, I just wish they would have swatted at that little moth that kept trying to fly up my nose. I think they found it amusing.
