Mr. Sunshine and Giuseppe greet our visitor.

Uncle Mark—my brother—came to visit today for a bit. He barely had a chance to sit down before Mr. Sunshine and Giuseppe casually hurried over to “fraternize” with him. They were so happy for company—dull old me and my lentil stew just weren’t enough—and perhaps it was the guy thing too. Well, they like everyone, but they did take some special time to show off for their visitor, who thought three big black cats wrestling and playing feline hockey with a milk bottle lid was pretty cool.

Then Jelly Bean sidled in for his time.

All three boys keep Mark very busy.

Mark had his hands full with all three of them kind of walking in a circle in front of him so he could pet two at a time. A bowl of lentil stew and a cup of coffee for my brother and me while they watched, trying to magically turn our meal into something they would like just about exhausted them and they could barely stay awake to say goodbye when he left.

The aftermath of such an exciting adventure found them all in an unphotographable pile in my office, tangled together on top of my black backpack and black messenger bag.

Don & I both enjoyed the great photos! It’s nice to see that we aren’t the only ones who allow our cats free rein of the table.

    • Paulette, once I had allowed the years of senior cats to eat on the cabinet, the table became fair game. ut these guys are polite–some former cats stole things right off my plate.

  • KC is a “guy’s cat” too – he loves whenever men visit so he can get in a little “male bonding”.

    • Vicki, my cats have always known my brother is a sucker for them, even the more timid ones, which always surprised me because he’s a big guy, 6’4″, with a deep voice and a heavy footstep. But the boys were having a ball showing off, had to be a guy thing!

  • Wonderful photos! Love the “straight up in the air tail” in the center of the second one 🙂

    • Ingrid, someone always has to photobomb via tail! He was admiring how “shiny” they are, and they’ve always had nice fur but if even my brother notices I know the raw diet has made a difference–I’ve certainly noticed it.
