Daily Photo: Another Sunny Morning
When this sort of thing happens I just take pictures. I have no idea how they’ll turn out, and that’s a big part of the fun, just losing myself in photographs. Then later I see that I wish I’d taken my recycling out to the bin on the deck the night before so the Ajax bottle didn’t turn up in the photos. Well, if I decide to use these for something more interested, I can always use Photoshop to fix that.
Below are two others from this same morning. I like the one above best because they each have a graceful gesture, stop motion, just enjoying the sun. You can see Giuseppe’s eyes and Bean’s whiskers. The others have different light, different highlights and different positions, and I am happy with each one.

From Instagram
I accidentally left my phone at the house I visited on Thanksgiving, and didn’t get it back until Saturday, so I have a photo from Thanksgiving to share. You readers are probably more than familiar with Fromage, but I don’t know that my Instagram friends know her.
I know she looks like my other housepanthers, and she is, in a way–this is Fromage the little bottle baby I fostered in 2009, all grown up, 8 years old! I get to see her when I visit the friend who rescued her and loaned me to foster at two weeks old. I’m so happy I could raise her up, though the housepanthers taught her a lot about being a cat.
Then from the weekend, Mimi and I went out front to enjoy the sun while I swept up a few leaves.
Mimi ways every kitty needs her own old oak rocker on which to sharpen her claws. There’s just nothing so refreshing as a good stretch and scratch in the sun.

Putting Things in Perspective
As I fly about the house gathering materials and then run to settle into my studio, Bella gives me one of her most feline looks and tells me not to be so full of myself. She doesn’t understand, this is how I have fun!
I shared this photo on Instagram today with the comment, “Bella wants you to know that Monday is just another day of the week, just be happy with the box you’re in and enjoy it!”

From the morning after Thanksgiving…
“We heard some other cats had a turkey dinner yesterday.”
Who told them? I want to know.
Later yesterday…
Help! I’m stuck in my chair because Basil is sleeping on his back with his legs in the air and his tail over his face. Could someone bring me a bowl of soup or something?
Really, I looked down and couldn’t make any sense out of how he was arranged.

Thankful
Mimi is thankful for the warm sun pouring into the window, and the home that is hers forever.
I am thankful for Mimi in my life, and all she has brought to me.
And more blessings than I can enumerate here.
All around us are blessings, even if they may sometimes be hard to recognize. Bask in their shower on this day to be thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends, and wishing the blessings of thanks on everyone today!

It was decidedly difficult to choose which one of Mimi’s wanderings in the sunlight this morning I would sketch. She wandered around making the most wonderful elongated and distorted shadows of herself in the long streams of sunlight and they were all wonderful. Of course, this has been going on for days. Interpreting this morning sundance at the back door has been years in the making and sketched in pencil, ink, pastel and more. Read more and purchase.
