Daily Photo: A Letter from Mademoiselle
Giuseppe, my dearest, my beloved, my poetic American opera star,
It is moi, your Mlle. Daisy Emerald in The Old Town of Kings on the riverbanks of the mighty St. Lawrence and the Cataraqui.
I see that you received a new bed for Easter! And so manly, with its fine blue and white plaid design!
I found a pile of pink sparkle balls in my red brocade bed this morning, very early, before Mama, Papa or even Theophile had risen from their slumbers.
Oh, my pink sparkle balls are beautiful.Â
Mama told me the Easter Bunny brought them, but I know that Papa dropped pink in my bed and blue in Theo’s late last night.
Still, I let them think I believe it was a large and, really, rather frightening rabbit that snuck into our loft and left our lovely gifts.
Your Mlle Daisy, always. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, Nuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzle, xo.

Read it to me again, Mama Bernadette…

My most precious and beautiful Mademoiselle,
You are the flower of my springtime, dearest Marguerite, and the gems of your eyes like the Emerald in your name.
I am so happy you have pink sparkle balls! How I would love to chase them around the floor with you!
They must be especially lovely when held in your glossy black paws!
We did receive a comfortable bed and a number of fun toys this weekend.
I have to share them with my siblings and Mama Mimi, but that is always fun.
I love to cuddle with my family.
I would so love to cuddle with you, my ebony princess;
one time for a few hours, I had the new bed all to myself and lay there daydreaming I was waiting for you to join me.
We have a clear blue sky today and lots of sunshine.
I gazed out the big north window knowing that a portion of that sky far off in the distance was protecting you,
and the sweet yellow sunshine flowed in your window, caressing your shining tresses as would I,
were I to share that moment with you.
Nuzzles and Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs, my sweetest gem.
G.B.V.

Those bewitching pink sparkle balls…
Apparently, they are irresistible to the Canadian Princess, Anna!
*sighs* <3 <3 🙂
Indeed.
Love ! !!
I am going to enlist your services the next time I need to write a love letter. 🙂 And fantastic foto, as usual.
I have to keep my touch! I was much more florid when I was studying Shakespeare and the Romantic poets. At one time friends paid me for this, but the old-fashioned letter writing days are long over.
