Mewsette is somewhat large (though not as big as she appears here) and is guarding the steps from any trespass. But she looks as if she might stand up and wave her tail, and that might be the most threatening she might be! But she does take her job quite seriously.

Wow, didn’t have too much to say there! But I always liked Mewsette’s profile in this sketch and when I started making cat-shaped pins and magnets I had wanted to use her shape here as the second design, and I had some interesting ideas for decorative painting on them because Mewsette inspired such things. The pins and magnets didn’t sell very well so I never followed through. We’ll sew what happens this spring.
