Asleep

On a sweet summer afternoon Mewsette stretches herself belly-down on the marble windowsill, balancing her paws, all those interesting shadows and the reflected light falling all around her.

Mewsette looks really pretty. Her name sounds a bit French (like petite Mew?).
Purrs
Ah, Texas, Mewsette is the beauty princess of the household. She was actually named for Musetta in the opera La Boheme (her human’s favorite opera) because her mom, the famous mom of all four of the black cats in this household, was named Mimi for the main character in that opera. So we are les trois jeunes filles françaises, Mimi, Mewsette and Bernadette (the human), all with our accents properly on our last syllables, in the French way. Bienvenue!
The human is also re-learning her French language since Giuseppe, Mewsette’s brother, has caught the eye of a lovely and dignified French-Canadian chat noir, Mlle. Daisy Emerald Marguerite.
Oh thanks – merci=^.^= C’est adorable !
J’en ronronne !
OOh! A new word for us! Merci!
