A Custom Memorial Votive

This idea began with the “Star of Wonder” votive I designed for the 2018 winter holidays. Many people purchased it as a memorial item for themselves or for friends. I started working out the process of customizing the same square votive, but with a pet’s image on it as a customized item.

When the subject of a recent portrait died I knew I’d like to give Oscar’s people a gift, and they could tell me if the votive was something they might like to have or not. I used just his face from his portrait, and continued the background color all the way around the votive. They were in approval, and that made up my mind to offer custom votives using your own photo of your pet.

About the custom votives

Just like Star of Wonder and all my other votives, this glass votive is etched by hand inside the votive to better diffuse the light from the candle.
Because I want these votives to be consistent and have the flat surfaces to accommodate the image it’s made from a purchased cube-shaped glass vase 3.25″ in each dimension.
You can provide me with a photo; the image must belong to you to avoid any copyright violation.
I will prepare the image to the right size and shape to fit one face of the votive, and remove the background if you prefer.

I provide an LED tea light, though it can also be used with a regular tea light or other candle. Price includes shipping.
