Each October I enjoy featuring the photos I used to create my Halloween Cards. This is not Mimi or one of her four children with me now—this is Lucy, enjoying a sunbath at the dining room window and peeking at me from behind the orange paper lamp. Though it was June, it looked like Halloween to me then. I was glad to have an image of her I knew I’d be able to share for years to come. She had been diagnosed with FIP the previous month, and we had no idea what would happen. But Lucy lived three full months after her diagnosis, and that was just as much a surprise as her popping out from behind the orange lamp and looking like a Halloween kitty in June.
“Boo!” features Lucy from the year she was here.
Sadly, I lost Lucy to FIP when she was 15 months old so she never had the chance to develop her career as all my other cats have, so I love to use her image in a creative endeavor whenever possible.

Well, it’s time to catch up again! These are photos I’ve share on Instagram and Facebook through the week, kind of like placeholders, to let people know I’m still here while I’m not posting. We’ve had visitors, some nice things to remember, and some formerly feral kitties are feeling more confident every day! I’ll be catching up on a lot this weekend, and here are the photos I’ve shared, and more to come. This is kind of what we did this week.
Below, the full view of the photo above, the one a visitor saw from the door.

Hey, guys, there’s a spot left where I think you can fit another cat in this box. Bella and Basil were cuddling and Bean crashed the party. Bella has her arm around Basil. Why do they do these things?
How can I work knowing this is behind me? Why do they do this to me?
Oh, look, today the Lucky Black Cat Four Leaf Clover has a stem. Apparently my lap wasn’t warm enough for Mimi.
Interesting combinations on a chilly afternoon: Mimi and Basil in the Chewy box, Bella right next door in the yellow basket.
What big noise?

Playtime for six! Basil started it, Hamlet watches closely. Why bother making the bed?
Friday, October 28
It’s a great day for a drink at the sink.
What other photos have I shared around this date in previous years?
