September Catnip Chronicles

It’s time for a new issue of Catnip Chronicles! Visit the Catnip Chronicles site and read the September issuefor articles and stories for and about feline health and lifestyle and photos of lovely cats. Often one of my stories is included, and this month it’s one of my favorites: “Mimi, Mewsing”, as Mimi looks out onto the sidewalks she once lived on and recalls kittens and events and how she ended up with me.

You’ll also recognize a few familiar faces in Sally Bahner’s story “The Black Cat: Myth, Mystery and Symbolism”, one of the best articles I’ve read about the history of black cats and humans.

This month includes many stories from feline rescuers and caretakers, some of my favorite types of stories from people out there on the streets trying to do their best by the cats they find, articles on health and behavior by veterinarians and specialist, photos and stories you’ll enjoy

That’s only a small portion—take your time and enjoy the read! You can subscribe to receive Catnip Chronicles in your e-mail every month, and also connect with Facebook.

  • I do get that Catnip Chronicles. What a good idea to post about it. That is going on my list of things to do.
Thanks for the info on the trumpet plant. That is the first time it has bloomed in years which I believe is because this is the first year in a long time that it has rained so much here. Now I am going to be nervous about it but I don’t think the cats will mess with it. The cats outside don’t seem to bother any of the plants other than sitting in the pot of catnip.

    • Marg, thanks for visiting! I don’t think cats are in too much danger to eat leaves that big, but be careful of the other critters, and yourself. If it’s been there a while, even if it hasn’t bloomed, I think probably no one is interested in it.
