Nuzzles and Purrs to Mademoiselle

My most ever-precious French-Canadian belle femme Mlle. Daisy Emerald Marguerite, my gem, il mio amore, my mature and most dignified love who lives in the romantic village of Verona by the lake, I heard you were not well!I was truly ready to run up the hill to the wild country of Canada to be by your side and comfort you, lick your forehead and nuzzle your cheek. You must be careful of your health, my sweet lady, so that someday, on that blessed day, that glorious day, O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!* we shall meet!

Such a relief to hear you are feeling better, my fragile flower, though I wish I could cuddle with you on your trip to the doctor! Oh please send me the news as soon as you return!

How I wish we could be together on this most romantic of holidays, but most of all, my love, I wish for your continued health.

I think of you every moment, and send all my love straight to your heart, and my finest song on the icy wind to your lovely sensitive ears.

We did hear word last night that Mademoiselle Daisy Emerald Marguerite has not been feeling well and had a particularly bad day yesterday. Giuseppe is the operatically overly melodramatic kitty and can simply go to pieces over small upsets, and is always aware that his love is in her teens and was diagnosed with diabetes in 2010 though she continues in robust health despite the occasional “spell”. He has been singing in the stairways in his fine castrato voice, getting the best vibrato and projection, and sitting by the big north window, looking toward the northwest thinking of how the same moonlight and the same snow are falling on Verona and Carnegie, waiting for the big day of love. Someday, perhaps, Mr. Sunshine will swipe the keys to my little pink Ford Escort and the two will drive up the hill to Canada and sweep in to visit Mlle.
