Nice to Hear from Doris Day
Not literally—I just happened to be cruising my favorite news websites and happened to see “an exclusive blog from Doris Day” in the list of CNN’s headlines. The blog entry is, of all places, on Larry King’s new blog! This combination just seemed too weird to me, but I remember that Doris Day has always been an animal lover and supporter of animal rights and fair treatment of animals, and indeed that is what she is writing about. Just like “Neighborhood Watch” for children and families, she says, “Keep your eyes open for abuse of animals,” and indeed we should, since most animal abuse happens in the home.
