Marketplace: Not Feline Artwork, But They’re Helping

upcoming nature art exhibit
My invitation to Rock the Quarry

It’s not feline art by any stretch, but my fine felines want you to know they have been very busy assisting and supurrvising me in getting my art and merchandise together for this event. Except for last night when they all abandoned me to my own devices as I framed prints in the basement until…very late…or early, depending how you look at it.

I not only exhibit at this event, I am also the vendor coordinator. It’s a fundraiser for my favorite trail, the Panhandle Trail, and that’s my donation to the organization, and it also covers my booth fee. It’s my best show of the year too. You can read more about it, see artwork and merchandise here.

And because this show is Friday and Saturday and I have a farmers market on Sunday, I won’t be posting tomorrow or over the weekend. But then I have no events at all until Pet Memorial Sunday in a little over two weeks. I have a lot of preparation to get ready for that, but after this weekend, my event schedule slows down and kind of comes to a close. I’ll be glad!

The events have provided income and enlarged my audience somewhat, and I need craft sometimes rather than the challenge of artwork. While thoroughly enjoyed the products I’ve worked out from the ground up, designed and made by hand, I’ve also been getting more requests for portraits, other commissions, and other artwork, and I think I’ll be rejoining the other art leagues I used to belong to and refocus on my artwork in general. It’s a chancy endeavor, but so is doing vendor shows. I’ll also be refocusing on my writing, looking for more places to publish both creative writing and professional writing. I have a lot of verbal support in this, and I’m glad my friends are feeling the same as I am.

Talk to you next week!
