How Do You Like Them Apples?

tortie cat with apples
How do you like them apples?

One of my favorites from last year!

Not sure if Cookie is espousing the apple-a-day ideal, but she sure seems to be enjoying sitting in the sun.

Or perhaps she’s worried about the apples. Cookie does things like that, sits near things that need to be fixed or moved or where something is somehow amiss. A few weeks ago, the sun didn’t come in the window at this angle, so the apples were safely out of the sun—and kitties weren’t necessarily inspired to sit there in the shade. Now that the sun has moved so have the kitties, but I’ll have to move the apples myself. Kitties don’t do that kind of work.

  • Denise, she really did have amber speckles in her green eyes! They have a little more striation here since she was 19 and that happens with age and you also see a few apples reflected, but she always had speckles just like her face. You can see them pretty well in this post: https://thecreativecat.net/cookie-love/#.T712YFLtBYI

  • I’ve never noticed her eyes looking so speckled in other photos – they’re beautiful! Were they really speckled like that or is it just how they turned out in this photo?
