Daily Sketch Reprise: Kind of a Lazy Wrestling Match
Mr. Sunshine happily rolled around on the table, singing, and apparently Jelly Bean didn’t care for the show because he circled Sunshine and started swatting his feet. Well, they kind of got into a little something, and ended up bathing each other. Couldn’t have been too bad.
I used watercolor pencil for this because I wanted to catch their movement—difficult while they were moving anyway, and that way some of the lines I sketched in while they were flipping around could be blended into shadows. Blending the paint with water adds to that feeling of movement as well. I used cerulean blue to start, then Prussian blue, much darker, to reinforce the lines of action with a few sketchy lines on top.
