Daily Photo: Out in the Yard With Mom

Later, Mimi found the picnic bench for a sunbath…

Later still, Mewsette simply looked absolutely beautiful…

Beautiful Mewsette.

Yesterday, when I ran out of time to post, I shared a buttercups photo of Mimi, “The sun came out.”

Later in the day when the sun moved over the house it came flooding the dining room window, causing a group sunbath.

The gathering.

Also, looks like our home decorating squirrel has been at it again. Pillow stuffing is gone, pillow cover tangled in the tree. Squirreled again.

Bella Just Can’t Be Any Cuter!, 2016

The feet in the air and...no head.
The feet in the air and…no head.

I just can’t figure out which photo is cuter! I decided to post all four.

Bella was totally enjoying herself in the grapes box with her new favorite mousie, the tiger stripe, now that she has banished the violet mousie for some infraction (I keep finding it stuffed behind the cat tree).

First it was the paws in the air that I saw from the corner of my eye and quickly got a photo—hind paws in the air, front paws in the air, and the mousie where her face should be! She was tossing it in the air and catching it!

Then she got distracted by a bird outside the window…

Looking around a bit.
Looking around a bit.

And then she saw me stand up and look into the box, and that was even funnier!

One green eye.
One green eye.

Once she realized I’d seen her she was all about putting herself back together, but I saw her in action!

Time to get out of here!
Time to get out of here!

I’ve been off of posting for a week again, but I’ll be starting up again this weekend. I had two huge design jobs in here at one time, and while I usually schedule around that I had no way of reorganizing things this time. My library will be 115 years old on May 1, and that’s been a pretty big deal to prepare for and to celebrate this weekend, one of the big projects.

Also, Hamlet and Ophelia are finally really exploring and getting accustomed to the household instead of hiding most of the time they are out, which is most of the day, and are no longer frightened of me with my camera. They needed some supervision since I didn’t want them to revert to being traumatized by things like loud noises or unexpected encounters with the other cats. I’ll update on that this weekend!

I’ve also been continuing to add merchandise and features to Portraits of Animals, and have disabled my Etsy account. More on that in the coming week.

And the fixes I made to The Creative Cat have become an issue again and the site takes a very long time to compose and log in and out, so creating posts was becoming difficult again. I will be changing the template once again and may have to give up this magazine template.

Plus, May is coming, and I’ll be posting the new desktop calendar and featured artwork! I miss posting and sharing with all of you.

The Garden Bean
The Garden Bean

The beans are growing, the geraniums are blooming, the sun is bright and hot, and I remember a certain sweet gray kitty who spent every available moment on the brick patio next to my garden, summer and winter, and each time I look at the florid overgrowth out there I remember how Moses enjoyed the little brick patio. Other kitties would come and go during the day as the heat and their interest waned, but Moses was serious about her outdoor time. This photo is also available in black and white, because I couldn’t tell which I liked better. Read more, and purchase.
