Daily Photo Reprise: The Face of a Cat About to Do Something…2012
I would say that he was about to do something stupid, but that is just my humble opinion of what I’m sure he felt was a noble act. And even though I knew the moment would end in disaster I still grabbed my camera and took a photo when I could have lured him away from the stinkbug that was clinging to the angled arm of one of my work lamps, one with a tenuous grip on the edge of the worktable and leaning right over my drafting table and upstairs computer. In the end, lamp and all the rulers you see on the right came crashing down on computer and desk, monitor, pencil cups, sketch pads and tape dispensers went flying. Stinkbug was among the missing in the aftermath. Mr. Sunshine was pleased and felt very successful in his efforts.
I do regularly check how well everything is connected and balanced and try to anticipate what might happen if a focused feline hit the object in full pounce. Who would know the 30-year-old lamp’s bracket was cracked…
It was actually his profile, and intent and focused look that held my attention as firmly as did the stinkbug hold Mr. Sunshine’s. This is roughly what I saw, worked out in PhotoShop “cutout” filter…
Who could resist? Can you tell I’m a big fan of the color green?
