Daily Photo: My Toy

black cat with catnip toy
Mr. Sunshine is hitting the ‘nip, literally.

Someone’s been hitting the ‘nip lately, literally and figuratively. And actually shredding a few of the toys.

Mr. Sunshine knows I wouldn’t dare take his catnip toy. And even though it’s long past Christmas and he’s still celebrating with his catnip Christmas tree, I don’t dare put it away.

He’s as cuddly as he looks, though, when he’s not kicking a catnip toy to death.

  • That is a great photo! I think Austin and Mr Sunshine should probably be on a 12 step program!! 😉

  • That is the most incredible photo. We love those back toesies and the front paws wrapped around the tree. Mom wishes she could get such great photos, but we are just too fast for her. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

    • Toesies! In 5.5 years of living with them, I’ve gotten exactly two clear catnip attack photos. Just keep trying. It’s especially difficult because they are black and the camera sometimes will not focus, and often the flash points itself in the wrong direction, but I had Sunshine in my sights, and he actually paused for a second or two.
