Daily Photo: Mewsette Wants a Cracker
Mewsette was nowhere to be seen when I set the package of crackers on the cabinet and turned to get the peanut butter. I turned around and found Mewsette diligently choosing the cracker she wanted and delicately picking it up in her sharp and ferocious teeth.
“You weren’t eating it,” she said, “and it was getting stale with the package open. Besides, what would you do with it now after I’ve licked it a few times and have it in my teeth?”
She has a point there. I just wish she’d clean up her crumbs. She loves crunchy snacks.

Such a cute picture of Mewsette with her snack 🙂
Bijou has been very interested in my dinners lately. I have to keep an eye on her constantly – the moment I turn my head, there’s her little tortie paw reaching out to snag something appealing from my plate!
Molly taught Angus and Donal (Mewsette’s older brothers) ALL about the the joys of chips, ESPECIALLY the Soy and Flaxseed Tortilla chips from Trader Joe’s. The boys are generally a bit better behaved, waiting until an appropriately-sized piece is offered, while Molly is quite determined to help the process along by sticking her head in the bag to select one herself. Must be a girl thing….
Amby, it must be something about the boys in that family, they are overly polite! But then, isn’t Molly a dilute tortie? Or is she a gray kitty–I can’t remember! Mine get nothing like those chips, only generic soda crackers…perhaps that’s the thing.
Your memory is excellent. Yes, Molly is a dilute blue/cream tortie of Oriental stock. So she has the voice to go with the tortietude (which is NOT dilute by any means). She and Gideon (Tonkinese Tabby mix) are the only ones in the household who say much and he has a TINY voice). Angus and Donal will respond if I speak to them (usually) but Molly is the outspoken one (especially if there’s food involved).
