Daily Photo: Four in the Tub
The Four Housecats of the Apocalypse have taken over the tub! This is how their day started out, sunny and warm, and a tub full of toys. They will be seven years old this summer, but they are always ready for another round of play in the tub. I tossed in every toy that was handy and they chased them around and leaped in and out and wrestled, then had baths on the windowsill, then four sleepy kitties had nice long naps. From the left it’s Jelly Bean, Giuseppe, Mr. Sunshine and Mewsette.
Below is Mimi from another sunny spring morning, but it’s also what she was doing this morning while the kids were playing in the tub.

Someone Is Awfully Cute, 2013
And she knows it too. Tell me Mimi’s not posing—she even held her pose while I took several photos! She knows exactly what what she’s doing, and the power of her cuteness. I’m so glad she has the chance to just be a cute kitty.

Surprise!, 2013
I’m not sure who was more surprised, Mewsette or me!
It’s a little game we play. She likes to act as if I can’t see her when I come up the stairs, even when I have my camera pointed right at her and I’m talking to her, as if she is under some magic spell of invisibility, and I act as if I can’t see her.
But her next move is to flip over upside down and wave her legs in the air, then jump up and perform a review of energetic cat stretches. I guess that indicates she has broken the spell!

Springtime Snack, 2012
It has barely sprouted and it’s still very thin, but Kelly is too happy about her greens to wait for them to grow bigger. She is so excited that she talks about it, leaps onto the cabinet, talks some more, eats a bit, goes back to the table, then does the whole thing all over again.
The others have been nibbling as well, but they seem to understand Kelly has first dibs on it.

You’re Looking at Me, Right? 2011
You’re looking at me, right?
And you’re talking about my great handsomeness and pointing at my special characteristics, like my special white ear hair and my white collar, perhaps my exotic green eyes as I give you my most serious, dignified look.
I know I’m the cutest cat you’ve ever seen.
All this has nothing to do with all the art hanging on the easel and the wall behind me. I am in front and I am the focus of all your attention as long as I sit here.

What fun..to bad we only have a shower here..
Bluemoon, I have photos of them playing in the “old” tub when they were just little fuzzballs! I considered just a shower when I renovated but couldn’t imagine what they’d do without a tub.
