Cats for Adoption: Older Kittens, House Panthers and 108 Cats TNRd

Juneau and Mittens
Juneau and Mittens

Above, Juneau and Mittens in probably the best picture EVER!

But first…

108 CATS WERE SPAYED AND NEUTERED AT THE HCMT FREE FOR FERALS CLINIC YESTERDAY!!

That was a lot of networking and preparation, a lot of trapping and a lot of kittens that will never be born. Thanks everyone!

For more information on HCMT clinics, visit the website at www.homelesscat.org.

Now, back to Juneau and Mittens. their foster says, “Juneau and Mittens are both ideal cats. They are 10 month old sisters who are full of energy and snuggles. They really enjoy spending time with people and are both the sweetest of cats.” They are spayed and up to date on shots and would love a home of their own. And then their foster can help more homeless cats! Juneau and Mittens are located in the Pittsburgh area and are offered for adoption through Pittsburgh CAT.

Jazmyn

Jazmyn

Jazmyn developed a URI while up for adoption at WPHS, not good for an adult kitty during kitten season. She went to a foster home with Pittsburgh CAT. Her symptoms cleared up and she is obviously friendly, and she’s looking for a home.

“Jazymn is a beautiful, intelligent, sweet cat! She is two years old. Loves to cuddle, doesn’t shed, has crazy play spurts, and meows and hums in conversation. Can be slowly introduced to another cat, but no dogs please. She loves and longs for human interaction. Jazyme is special and her forever family that adopts her will see how wonderful and intelligent she is.”

She is spayed and up to date on shots and would love a home of her own. She is located in the Pittsburgh area and are offered for adoption through Pittsburgh CAT.

Lester

Lester

I don’t know much at all about Lester but he looks like a nice, friendly cat leaning on the door of his cage, and he needs a home.

All cats are in the Pittsburgh area. They’ve all been in one of Pittsburgh CAT’s foster homes and are looking for an adventure in the direction of a forever home, maybe your home! The more we can place, the more we can save! If you are interested in adopting one or more of these four through Pittsburgh CAT, fill out an application and one of our members will contact you.

Pittsburgh CAT cats and kittens

We have many rescued adults, former mom cats like Charm or friendly cats somehow caught up living outdoors, and whole litters of kittens. Visit the Pittsburgh CAT page and message on the photo of the cat you’d like to adopt!

. . . . . . .

We are overloaded with cute little kittens, but don’t forget the older kittens and adults!

Amazon Wish Lists

The Amazon Wish List for our group’s foster kittens.

Many rescuers pay out of pocket for veterinary care and food but the costs of raising even the average litter of four healthy kittens is more than many people have, and many rescues have greater needs. Pittsburgh CAT has a number of wish lists that include foods for feeding neo-natal kittens like KMR, and other lists that include the best kitten foods, adult cat foods, food and materials for feral cats, and preferred toys and litter.

Can’t adopt? Foster! Can’t foster? Donate or volunteer.

There are so many ways you can help cats who need homes and care. You may not have room to adopt another cat, but can foster a cat or kitten for a few weeks. If not that, you can volunteer at a shelter or with a rescue, or donate. You do this because you love your cat, and by doing so you help all cats. No matter which of these actions you take, you help to save a life, and make life better for all cats.

  • Adopt one of the cats I’ve posted here, or from any shelter or rescue near you, or from Petfinder, to open up a space for another cat to be rescued and fostered.
  • Offer to foster cats or kittens for a shelter or rescue near you.
  • Volunteer at a shelter or rescue.
  • Find a group of volunteers who work with homeless cats and help them with their efforts.
  • Donate to a shelter or rescue near you.

If you can foster kittens or adults cats to help prepare them for a forever home, please run to your nearest shelter and find a cat who needs you! Anyone can help with this effort at any level, even if all you do is donate to a shelter or rescue so they can help to pay for the food or medications needed for their foster, or the spay/neuter/veterinary care during a clinic.
