Cats for Adoption: Cupcake, and Kitten Couples

long-haired calico
Cupcake, ready to play.

Cupcake’s person has asthma and has been hospitalized for it a few times lately as it grows worse, and feels it’s best for Cupcake to find a new home. They recently moved from Phoenix and don’t know a whole lot of people in the area, so finding a home with a friend hasn’t worked.

Cupcake is 2-1/2 years old, very friendly and lovable, loves to lay on laps and tummies and get petted while she purrs. Likes to play with toys, all of which will come with her, as well as her pink condo bed and nice carrier. She loved a male cat that she knew thru the plate glass window in Phoenix and misses him a lot. They would kiss thru the window. Cupcake does well with men and women and warms up quickly.

Cupcake is with her person in the Pittsburgh area. If you are interested in adopting this young, playful and lovely long-haired calico, please contact me.

Kitten Couples

These kitten couples are all four to six months old and don’t have to be adopted together, but are still good friends as siblings as they grow up. They are all in a foster home in Westmoreland County, east of Pittsburgh. If you are interested in any of them, please contact me.

Thanks for your kindness…

Thanks to everyone who trapped cats and kittens for the last Frankie’s Friends low-cost clinic of the year, from the mama cat who had her leg amputated to the ten kittens from one site, to the “caravan kittens” living in a pop-up camper whose people asked for help and got it, you’ve given a perfect holiday gift to both the cats and their people to ensure they won’t be fruitful and multiplying in 2014! Thanks to for distributing the homemade shelters, straw and food to those who need it and either can’t get it or can’t afford it.

You still have time to donate and get your gift certificate!

From the rescues taken in to find another home to the cats who end up living outdoors because there is no home for them dedicated individuals volunteer their time, expertise and money to feed and provide shelter for all these cats, in all seasons, every day of the year. Right now we are headed for the often deadly winter months where sturdy straw-filled shelters are needed to be built and maintained for cats living outdoors, and often critical emergency veterinary care is needed for kittens born in the cold, and cats suffering injuries caused by or made worse by wintery weather along with the usual street injuries and, unfortunately, abuse.
